Organisation Cards

Factions, guilds, governments, secret societies, corporations, families — any group that plays a meaningful role in your story gets its own Organisation Card. Keeping an organisation's goals and membership in one place stops you second-guessing who belongs to what, and gives the AI assistant the context it needs to spot inconsistencies in how you write about them.

The profile

What's on an Organisation Card

Name

The organisation's name as it appears in your story.

Goals & Aims

A free-form description of what the organisation wants and why it exists — its ideology, agenda, relationship to power, and the lengths it will go to in pursuit of its objectives. A well-written Goals section gives the AI a strong foundation for flagging when a character acts in ways that feel out of step with the faction they belong to.

Members

A roster of the characters who belong to this organisation, each with their role within it. The name field autocompletes from your existing Character Cards — start typing and select from the list. Roles are freeform: Leader, Spy, Treasurer, Reluctant Recruit — whatever best describes that character's position in the group.

Mentioned in Chapters

Auctor scans your chapters in the background and lists every one that mentions this organisation by name. Click any chapter to jump directly to it — handy for tracking how prominently a faction features across the story, or for checking that you've referred to it consistently.
